Pavement CBR design method

CBR method one of the most basic ways of designing pavement, we have many other more developed methods we can use, like AASHO or ASPHALT INSTITUTE. Yes, the last methods take in consideration all other possible factors as the environment and the development of construction materials.
However, for me personally I prefer to use CBR method, it is fast and reliable way for the predesign of pavement, because you need to know your pavement thickness to be able to start the road geometry design. In addition, you can verify later in the detailed stage your layers thickness by using the other methods, or some stress analysis software, I mad this simple application for you to know the total equivalent layer thickness using the CBR method.

The lower the CBR value of a particular soil,the less strength it has.

Project manager strong personality

The most difficult task in project management is to extract the best output from the staff members, because as we know differences between people, their belief in their thinking and individualities lead to take more time for you to analyze their personality, to be able to choose the right person for the right job.
Strong personality, this is exactly what you need to have, but what the meaning of the strong personality?
First, vision and knowing what is the most likely is going to happen, if it is bad than you are going to try to change the situation. If it is good then you are going to motivate and ask others to continue in the same path, it will be very good idea to have a second plan in case you could not apply the first one and this what we call risk management.
Secondly, commitment you need to be the good example, because people will not listen to you if you asked them to work very hard, and you are not working very hard, you ask them to be good to others and you are not, to come in the time and you always late.
Third, Leadership and understanding what’s going on in your business and people around you, you can do that only by updating your information with reading and by listening, in the other hand it is better to avoid making friends in the workplace, because that’s sometimes make it hard to decide in some issues like firing someone.
Finally, it is a challenging position to be a good project manager, but in the same time, it would give you flow of excitement and inspiration.

Project management mind map plan

 

Project management harder than mathematics that because the last one does not changes with time, technology and people. The principles of math always the same even if we get out from our solar system.

 In the other hand to be a project manager, you need to practice your theory, you need to make some mistakes and learn from them you need to update your information or you will not be able to lead and tech and organize in this very rapid developing world.
For every project we need someone who decides when we are going to start  (stakeholders), we need to know the desired time to finish it, and because we don’t know the future, unexpected changes happens, like the change in politics, economy, weather or death of someone related to the project. For every change, we need to review our plan again including quality plan, procurement plan, time plan, human resources plan, and risk and finance plan.  All of this process we name it integration project management, in addition to good communication and coordination between all the project members, usually and hopefully that will lead to the best execution of our project just in the desired time and budget, whatever your project is.

Road - highway animation --simulation civil 3d - 3ds max

In the final stage of road design we use our project plans to make a visualization of the project, many tools can give us a beautiful animation to show our project to the world because as you know not all people can read and understand engineer plans.

 I use 3Ds max design with civil view mainly for my visualization, you can add trees and cars and make things move as you which, I am beginner in that beside I don’t have too much time to make visualization for every project I do.

My main task is to make sure that the geometric design of the road is best I can do, but I really enjoy making my project moving.
